Love this building and all of the amazing staff here. Please do yourself a favor and visit and tour before you choose your next place of residence. Many of the negative reviews are old/outdated and in my opinion are simply not factual. Humans are quick to leave unacceptable negative reviews yet rarely take the time to log on and post a satisfactory or positive review. In my time here I have really admired the staff here who keep this building welcoming, clean and a home to all of the residents here. Take the time to tour an apartment here and then decide. For the monthly rent compared to other buildings in the area this building just feels like home. Although I will not be able to stay forever if you need a place to fit your budget that is safe and inviting this is the place for you. Don't let the window AC units deter you. Apartments are extremely quiet and everyone is friendly. Laundry on site is also clean and the mobile app makes the weekly task a breeze. Utilities included really is a blessing for those on a budget. Do yourself a favor schedule a tour. The building location in proximity to Dupont Metro Station and Georgetown can't be beat. You will be a happier person when you realize just how convenient State House really is. Life is good. Thankful & Grateful to call State House Apartments home. Thank you to the staff & fellow residents 8)

Lived here for a while, and I had nothing but great experiences. It can get loud if you get a unit facing the Massachusetts Ave (VIP motorcades or protests in front of so many embassies facing Mass Ave), but you get used to them in a few days. So close to the DuPont Circle metro. You are going to have to walk a bit to get to a grocery store. Both Trade Joe’s and the Safeway are 15-20 walking distance. There were some construction going on along the Mass Ave for a while (DC public road constructions unrelated to the apartment), and it was noisy. But that’s mostly done now.
